Today is Alfred Russel Wallace's 198th birthday! Happy Birthday to the co-discoverer of "..arguably the most momentous idea ever to occur to a human mind..." - evolution by natural selection.
Very many congratulations to Bill Bailey for winning Strictly Come Dancing 2020! What an amazing achievement!
John van Wyhe, an American-born Darwin scholar based at the University of Singapore, has for many years been the bane of the world's Wallace scholars. The reason for this is that he has steadily been publishing a stream of articles and books 're-interpreting' many decades of careful historical research on Wallace by other scholars and reaching diametrically opposed conclusions to them. His revisionist work would be welcome if it stood up to careful examination, but unfortunately it does not.

My new publication "Portraits Of Alfred Russel Wallace. Version 3." is now available especially for Wallace's 197th birthday today! My catalogue documents and illustrates all known surviving photographs of Wallace, plus all known drawings and paintings of him made during his lifetime. Version 2 proved popular with 550 reads on my ResearchGate site alone.
