2019 sees the 150th anniversary of the publication of Wallace's excellent book about his travels in Indonesia, Malaysia, East Timor and Singapore - The Malay Archipelago.
WMF Founder George Beccaloni will be the "Ship's Naturalist" on an amazing cruise across the remote eastern part of Indonesia in October 2019, which will raise funds for his Wallace Correspondence Project. The cruise, entitled "In Search of Wallace and his Living Treasures", has just been featured on the prestigious National Geographic Traveller magazine's "Cool List" for 2019 - a real honour!

My in-depth article about the location of Wallace's legendary house on the Indonesian Island of Ternate has been extensively rewritten and my conclusions have changed based on newly discovered evidence. Please see http://wallacefund.info/content/wallaces-ternate-house The Wallace Fund hopes that the site of the house can be purchased and a replica of it built. This could house a museum about Wallace's adventures and scholarly achievements in Indonesia.
