Just a reminder that there will be a four day conference on Wallace and the Wallacea in Makassar, Sulawesi, Indonesia, from December 10 to 13 which is being organised by the Indonesian Academy of Sciences. The timing and location of this conference couldn't be better, as of course Wallace discovered natural selection in Indonesia in 1858 - 150 years ago.
Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend, largely due to work commitments and lack of annual leave. Sigh..
