An event which is part of the 60th anniversary celebrations of the Department of Biological Sciences of the National University of Singapore
Artist Fred Edwards and I are heading off on an epic 7 week trip to Sarawak (Borneo), Singapore and Indonesia on Saturday March 21st, to visit some historically important Wallace-associated sites. The trip is funded by the Wellcome Trust as part of the art project "Alfred Russel Wallace - The Forgotten Evolutionist", which Fred and I are collaborating on (see http://wallacefund.info/en/fred-edwards-art-project).
I have been trawling the Web looking for information about bird specimens collected by Wallace in museums outside the UK and came across the interesting news item ("Remembering the forgotten hero of evolution") below.
Roy Davies, author of the controversial book The Darwin Conspiracy (http://www.darwin-conspiracy.co.uk/) has posted a long and detailed response to the critical review of his book by creationist Todd Charles Wood, which I mentioned a few weeks ago on this blog.
